My brother Randy just called.  We have an offer on the Ohio property, and Randy was curious to know if I had the email with the zoning restrictions.  The potential buyer wants to put a storage locker building on the property.

I did not have the zoning restrictions, so if Randy cannot find his copy, the realtor says he can get them on Monday.

Vibes it is a substantial offer and you will be rid of that white elephants

Compared to what we could have got when my dumbass brothers screwed up things in 2007, it's a sad letdown.

Still, if it gets a $5,000 property tax payment every year off our backs, that's all to the good.

DR Jane, we raised dogs for Guiding Eyes for the Blind (in NY) many years ago. It was so hard to give them up, but oh so rewarding to attend the graduation ceremonies and meet the people "our" dogs had been assigned to!

I walked most mornings with my friend & our dogs, plus I babysat the pups.  I would like to have gone to one of the ceremonies.  Of course I always heard all about them.  My favorite of all the pups was Bree.  There was only one failure, a German Sheppard that never stopped chasing her cats.

One day we were watching this crazy puppy at our house when he got his head stuck in the side of a big comfortable chair we had.  We had no idea there was room for a head to fit in there ;D  Fortunately Keith was home to help me release her.  It was always something with this crazy dog.

Back from an extensive grocery run. I only go first thing in the morning or late at night, to avoid as many people as possible.

For breakfast, I will be enjoying my impromptu purchase: pumpkin English muffins, toasted, buttered, and served with a generous slice o' cheese over the top.

How were the pumpkin English muffins?

And, just for fun:

A picnic table, all of one piece, created from a whole tree.

WOW!

Just did an hour's worth of gardening in the 90-degree heat. Not fun. I'm a pool of sweat.

I also have a replica of The Maltese Falcon (I think BK also has one). and a replica of the snow globe from CITIZEN KANE.

We have a replica of the letters of transit from Casablanca.

Stella has decided that if the food is something I like, then she must like it, too.  This attitude turns every meal I have into Daddy and The Beggar.  Once Annabelle and Thatch have determined something I'm munching on is not in their range of possible snacks, thery stop pestering me.  Not Stella.

I worry that at some point she'll eat something that is not good for her, like raisins or onion.

Or chocolate.

At any rate, that's what I always heard are the two toxic things for cats (and possibly dogs):  onions and chocolate.

I didn't know that about raisins, so thanks for the heads up on that.

Remember that raisins are just dried grapes, so don't forget about the grapes.

Then there is the sugar substitute Xylitol that has been getting more attention for killing dogs.

Randy just called me back.  He found the zoning regulations and sent it to our realtor.

I received a text to vote for some woman for judge.  Never having heard of her I just did a search.  I guess they meant to send this to Craig instead of me ;D

Listening to the R. Strauss violin concerto - I must have heard it before but none of it seems familiar.
