Can't wait for the new Kritzerland show, BK!  Many of your regulars PLUS Klea Blackhurst, Liz Callaway, Liz Larsen AND Sal Viviano?  It's going to be great! :D

I woke at 5:00, and I could not get back to sleep.  At 5:55 I decided to hell with it, and got up.  I vaguely remember one dream, and I think my friend Todd Buonapane who sang "I'm Getting Myself Ready For You" in The New Yorkers was in it. We were working on some sort of display in the apartment building next to mine and I was working in papier mache.

BK, I have a memory that Corsaro-Sendak production of Hansel and Gretel began at the Juilliard School and that it got a PBS broadcast. Corsaro was "the" opera director in the 1970s, particularly at City Opera.  I read his book when it was first published in 1978 but I have no memory now of where it is or what was its content.

Corsaro was the director of Tennessee Williams' The Night of the Iguana, and Bette Davis had him sacked.  The next day, after Corsaro had left, Davis walked onstage and said, I can still smell him.

A year ago this week we were preparing to open the third run of that smash hit, Wreck the Halls. It’s hard to believe that two (2) years haven’t elapsed since then, given all that has transpired. The performing lifestyle seems so far away.

Jane, The Dangerous Christmas of Red Riding Hood is an odd Jule Styne-Bob Merrill TV musical with Liza Minnelli, Cyril Richard, Vic Damone and The Animals as the Wolf Pack. It’s a retelling of Red Riding Hood as told from the Wolf’s perspective. If your idea of the wolf is an animal longing to let his inner drag queen out, then you have some idea of how strange it all is. But I love a few of the songs.
