Monday afternoon greetings!  It’s snowing here in SW Ohio, but not amounting to much.  Good day to stay in and putter.  So far, I’ve put together a Christmas stocking for Charlotte and addressed a sympathy card to a friend who lost her mother to COVID-19 on Saturday.  Talk about the full emotional spectrum...

Boy, is this a hellishly rainy day to stay in from. Sadly (very sadly), at some point I have to take the trash cans down to the road. I don't even know what I'll put on to do that. I haven't owned an actual raincoat in decades. I guess my trench coat is the closest thing to a real raincoat, and it will have to do. Now, as to my feet... who knows.

I was lucky to get to the mailbox during a dry spell.  The temperature was really warm.

My car wouldn't start this morning. Luckily, it was when I was going to go to the church with my buckets to water plants. My DH took my daughter to work this morning.

DH got the car started, so I went straight to the mechanic. It turned out to be a leaking battery. The battery was under warranty, so it turned out I was lucky indeed.

DR Laura, if we could reroute today's rain to you, that desert would be in full bloom in no time.

I looked at the radar and saw a "quiet" spot coming our way, and I got the trash down there with the assistance of my good friends the trench coat and umbrella. Even in the light rain at that time, it was a soaking walk.

Just do multiple layers under the trench coat, wear hoods and hats, then change as soon as you get back inside.

Yes, the extremes.  Stay strong through the holidays and skip in person family time.

Had an egg on a bagel sandwich to tide me over until I'm home this evening.  I shall now be on my way to hopefully pick up packages and do the thing.

Between Flora, the Red Menace and Dangerous Christmas of Little Red Riding Hood, Liza was in danger of being typecast.

I just walked to the mailbox on the corner to post my bills. The corner has once again become Christmas Tree Lane until Dec. 24.  It  put me in a holiday mood, so I rushed home to play my latest Christmas album.

Brilliant. Easy, but brilliant.

A wise decision. I'm going to Louisville next week, but not sure how wise a decision it is.

That Red Riding Hood with Liza sounds ... amazing.

You can watch it on YouTube:

The sounds is crappy, but it's fairly crappy on my copy, too.
