Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of a new opera, and now it is time for you to post until the operatic cows come home.

Topic of the Day:  some of the best online streaming shows have been the Kritzerland shows.  They're so well done, and professionally produced, and overall have great sound!  Can't wait for the holiday show!!

In addition to the Kritzerland shows, I've enjoyed some of the National Theatre Live productions that've been streamed on YouTube, as well as the shows from "The Show Must Go On."  Both of those show productions that were filmed and produced to be shown in the movie theaters around the world, so they're not the same as the online specific shows.  But one of my most favorite was "Take Me to the World - A Sondheim 90th Celebration"...mostly because it's all Sondheim. :)

I knew I was getting up at 5:15, so I turned off the lights around 8:30, and some time after 11:30 I fell asleep.  Around 3:30 I woke, drank some water, and Annabelle joined me.  I slept badly the rest of the night, but I'm up, I've had breakfast and taken my meds, and fed the cats.  Around 8:45 I will leave for my appointment.

That Yiddisher opera of bk's sounds like quite the magnum opus!

Last night we watched A Christmas Gift from Bob, which was based on the book A Gift from Bob.  The movie reduces the book's December 2011(?) turmoil of sickness, vet bills, unemployment, struggle to keep the gas and electricity meters paid up and functioning by selling enough issues of The Big Issue as well as covering the rent and food, and a government inquiry into whether Bob should be removed from James' custody to a 90-minute government attempt to remove Bob from James' custody.

I liked it, but I wish its aim to be family-friendly hadn't glossed over the harsher aspects of James' struggle to keep himself and Bob alive.

Just saw this. Sounds like it could be either horrible or wonderful. Intriguing possibilities of flavor combinations.

ALMOND COOL WHIP COOKIES

Ingredients:
1 box cake mix, any flavor you like
8 oz. Cool Whip
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract (you could use others, like almond or peppermint)

Mix all ingredients together. Using a small cookie scoop, form dough balls. Batter is sticky, so you'll want to rinse off the scoop every 3 or 4. Roll the dough balls in powdered sugar. Place on a cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 13 minutes.

Was very happy, and relieved, to read that DR John G. (and companion) arrived safely at their destination.

Yesterday, I finished the first draft of the 34th (?) play in THE HOLLYWOOD LEGENDS collection.

I think it's the 34th. With the way the world is now, it's difficult to keep track of anything.

I'll sit on it for a few days...let my wife read it...then I'll look at it again.

Once published, this entry should raise a few eyebrows.

T.O.D.

I don't go to the movies any more, and I can't think of anything I've seen on TV that has made enough of an impression that I remember it.

We did watch 1917 on cable about a week ago, and I did like that.

But that was a 2019 film.

I know who the 35th (?) play is going to be.

I just have to get up the energy to write it.

TOD:

I always enjoy the Kritzerland Shows......A Christmas Carol featuring ME was okay.....but I haven't watched much else on the computer.....like DR GEORGE I saw some of the National Theatre productions, but.....I just don't have the patience for many of them.....

I don't think there is any NEW program that I have found that I like.....and some of my old favorites have turned.....out....badly.

I liked The Neighborhood - I watched it Monday night - and it has suddenly become Sit Com 101 in the worst sense.  I could hardly believe my eyes and ears.....  I hate the A/B type of sitcom story telling although it can be done well.  BUT this was just awful....I felt sorry for the actors who had spent two seasons developing their characters and having good scripts....and suddenly - it's I MARRIED JOAN....which at least only had ONE story per script....

Elektra, after one viewing, is all drama, so I think it’s as much about the visual as the music.
