I have almost decided to get a larger TV machine.  I saw one on sale today......I talked it over with my sister and of course she encourages to spend the money.....

So I probably will......tomorrow......and increase my viewing area by 10" diagonally......

So, on December 3rd, I bought a 1765(!) publication of John Gay's The Beggar's Opera on eBay for the grand sum of $47.97 ($39.99 + $3.86 shipping and $4.12 tax).  It's not in great condition, but I just liked the idea of owning a book that's actually older than the country.  The estimated delivery date was last Friday, December 11, but it was not delivered. :-\ As of yesterday, the last item in the shipping info was on December 8:  PROCESSED THROUGH USPS FACILITY, JERSEY CITY, NJ 07097!

Listening to Strauss's Daphne - attractive music, but not my favorite of his operas.  Karl Bohm conducting, so that's always a plus.
