Well, you've read the notes, the notes did the Sibelius second but not as well as the Marx Brothers, and now it is time for you to post until the Sibelius cows come home.

I really don't care for most of what I see that's done specifically for streaming during the time of Covid, so I feel it my duty to share this, which IS well done and simply wonderful. https://vimeo.com/492234704?fbclid=IwAR0pkaX6Y3ULihB6Dr92YFo6UuMPNdkanUzhMPHgqIvXpBKJ1T88LP_DyR4

That was quite enjoyable!

My new modem and router seem to be working fine this morning, and after a day of no Wi-Fi, I am happy that everything is up and running.

I don't have much to report.  After kitty cleanup, I must finish my last round of Christmas shopping.  Today or tomorrow I need to walk to my bank and withdraw funds for my gift to Jeff, the buiding's super.

That's interesting about the Schippers recording. Was he ever considered a particularly great conductor? I don't know what I might have heard of his, except for the 1951 Amahl and the Night Visitors recording.

Last night, we watched a movie on cable, THE CAPTIVE.

Nice photography, but the story was a bit confusing.

That is: How the characters got from "A to B" was not really clear.

Also, much of the dialogue was not clear.

Back in the day, you could hear and understand every word an actor said.

Not today!

I don't know if it's the sound recording equipment, or if the actors are just mumbling or a combination of both.

I find that with a lot of movies these days.

 :(

Schippers did that very famous all-Barber program.

Yes DR TCB is correct......since this is only the second time I had been to this dentist he didn't know to ask me:  "Could you sing before?"

I liked his answer so I think when I go in to get my partial I will ask him if I will able to play the saxophone......

TOD:

I've always liked the OBC of Hello, Dolly!  I especially like the "Put On Your Sunday Clothes".....toward the end when everything gets going someone (Carol?) hollers my name....."JACK!"

Has anyone else heard it?

I also like the OBC of GYPSY especially the overture AND "You Gotta Have a Gimmick."

"Turkey Lurkey Time" especially in the remastered CD from MR BK.

I shall be interested to hear what other Dear Readers have to say.

I am feeling okay today.  Yes, DR JANE, no ill effects so far.  I haven't had to take another of the pain pills, so I am very lucky OR the pill lasts 15 hours which I doubt.

She’s one of my favorites. Her performance in Singin’ in the Rain is priceless.

Tuesday morning greetings!  Well, it’s all in the wrists, I guess.  My hand-kneaded shortbread dough behaved much better and we’ll have cut-out cookies for Christmas after all.  But I didn’t use the full amount of flour called for in Patty’s recipe.
