Well, you've read the notes, the notes didn't fly by, and now it is time for you to post until the flying by cows come home.

So, I've been looking online to see if I could find anything about my doorbell and I actually found what I think is the instruction manual.  It's nice to have that, and it has a little Troubleshooting section.  The battery that I got last night was for the pushbutton that's attached outside next to my door, but I'll try replacing all the batteries.  Then, I'll from there.  I'm actually going to go shopping with my sister tonight, so I can get them tonight.

All was well until 4:00, when the chilly kitty invasion began with Stella, followed by Annabelle who crawled under the blankets and kept sticking a claw into my left knee.

I think I was awake most of the hour and forty-five minutes till the alarm rang, but I did have a weird dream about helping the Trapp Family escape from Austria with a briefcase containing a recording of a Hitler broadcast. During the dream the briefcase was confiscated during some banquet at a fancy hotel, and I was talking to musicians in a Broadway pit why I wore my tuxedo to the performance instead of changing at the theatre.  The reason? I had been to a banquet at a hotel where the briefcase was taken.

Then I had an anxiety attack about today's appointment to learn the results of that CT-scan several weeks ago.  The last time I did this, I learned I had a tumor and needed surgery.

I'm also concerned that I need to go with my walker to an area of the East Side I do not know, and I worry about getting around.

Rain rain rain.....it will probably be starting when I get home.

My sister wants to go to the Goodwill about 11 a.m. so we shall do that.....it is Senior Day......so it will be impossible to get down the aisle where the knickknacks are.....  Just as there will be a long line tomorrow at the register for old people returning knickknacks they don't have room for.....and everything else they bought today.

When I was reading MR BK's story about the phone call from Vitello's......I kept hearing Cindy Williams' voice in my head:

"Your stunt c%&* is here....."

I shall return......

I just saw a story on my local news about a man who had made a portrait of President Trump using all kinds of nuts.....I think this is the definition of form follows function.

Curious, DR John G. - do you use some sort of software to capture recipes you see on the Internet that you want to try? Or some other organized system?

My main dream, if you can call it that, was an abstraction of arranging the covers for proper warmth which related to somehow or other placing little musical phrases to best advantage.

The more BK describes The Boys from Brazil, the less I realize I actually remember of it. I don’t know which copy I have, probably not an up to date one, but I’m adding it to the watch pile.

Last night we watched the musical version of GOODBYE, MR. CHIPS (1969) with Peter O'Toole.  We'd watched the original with Robert Donat the night before.

The musical certainly had its problems, but it is still an entertaining film.

I devoted a chapter to the 2 films in my long OOP 1975 book on remakes, MAKE IT AGAIN, SAM.  Interviewed director Herb Ross & producer Arthur Jacobs.
