Well I took the bull by the horns so to speak and ordered my item from ANOTHER vendor on EBAY....and this payment went through like gangbusters.

I can only imagine that the seller is having problems at his end, so to speak.

I was expecting the car repair quote to be about $1200.....for my own stupidity.

The quote was $1000 - so I made an appointment to have it done.  Taking it in next Monday -- I will be carless for 4 days.....they say.

We got snow last night -- thankfully, only an inch or so, because I was able to use the leaf blower to clear most of the driveway even before the plow guy got here. It's so nice when that happens. You can only do that if it's an inch or less, and not too heavy or sticky. This one was borderline, but it worked just well enough, and the sun and 40-degree temperature is taking care of the rest.
