I've been following Debbie Wileman on FB.  She is a great singer in her own right, but also does impressions.

Here's Judy Garland singing "As If We Never Said Goodbye":

T.O.D.

Years ago, I saw an Equity Waiver  production in Hollywood of THE DESPERATE HOURS, a play I'd seen as a kid with the Road Company in Seattle.  I've also seen the move many times.

Don Dubbins played the father in the Waiver production, and in the climatic scene where he confronts the lead convict (Humphrey Bogart in the movie), he did not have a gun.

Another actor had, accidentally, taken it off-stage with him.

So, now Dubbins had to face the lead convict and ask him to "please, leave my house".

It played okay, but knowing the show, I felt so sorry for Dubbins, the actor.

Watching an odd Bette Davis noir called Deception. Set in the classical music world after WWII. Paul Henreid and Claude Rains co-star. Will she kill for love? Or merely play the piano?

Could Bette Davis play the piano? If not, she's faking it very well. Better, say, than Cary Grant playing the harp in The Bishop's Wife -- and he was supposed to be an angel!

So, Tom had sent me an e-mail, asking if I could post pictures of his two new cats, and I can...and I will!  Here's the first!

Sweet. I was hoping his email was a photo.

Bette Davis learned to play piano as a kid, and she did play the Beethoven Apassionata for the movie, but it was dubbed over by a pro.

Good Morning.  Errands today.  It's suppose to rain all day tomorrow, which means "Drive-in" style Mass in the morning.  I'm in charge of the sound - we are using an FM Transmitter for the first time.  I'm a little nervous, but it will be what it will be I suppose.

I'm up, I'm up - six hours of sleep, was up at ten-thirty, but had to  shave and shower and answer e-mails. I shall now be on my way to see the first cut of project one.

Well, Amazon today recommended I get a whole slew of cast albums that I already have. How fun is that? And why would Amazon recommend Howard Keel and Danielle Darrieux in Ambassador? Did anyone ever recommend Ambassador?

Adventures in Target.  Should have brought a paper bag in to breathe into.  Almost lost my cool.  I guess the best thing about wearing a mask in a store is that no one can see you mumble.

I just loved Jimmie Rodgers and wish his career had been longer.  Monday he died of kidney disease and he had also tested positive for Covid-19.
