So says the character Connie in Tales of the City.

DR Jrand70...   I found the sheet music for a song that looks like it would pair well on a concert program with Chiri Biri Bim!

Thank you, all, for last night's vibes. Last February and March, when I learned about the kidney tumor, I went through several bad anxiety attacks about dying and leaving the cats.  A very dear friend has told me he will take them, but I would like to leave funds to help pay for their keep.  This is one reason that I would like to get Moonshine and Mistletoe off the ground and the Annabelle & Thatch book published.  They are my only real hopes of getting a nice annuity for my estate.

Maybe it's because I know so many prostate cancer survivors - and we do not know if I have cancer - that I'm not yet fretting about anything.

My neighbor Judy showed up at my door three times yesterday: two package deliveries and a pumpkin pie she had baked for me.  Not a slice, but a whole pie, which I need like a diabetic coma.  One package was treats for the cats, and the other, which I'd completely forgotten about, was an Amazon.co.uk delivery of one of my favorite movies, which really creeps me out, The Woman in Black, which has only been available in shoddy transfers for some time.

My cousin John is in a Kentucky hospital with Covid-19.  He posted on Facebook that was had been diagnosed, and Randy called me to tell me he had been hospitalized.  Yesterday his daughter sent me a Facebook message that he was on a ventilator, and this morning he was on dialysis. I'm worried about him.

I like this photo of him and his bird. He liked my Annabelle and Thatch tales so much that he adopted a kitten, and the cat, bird, and dog all get along quite well.

Kitty cleanup this morning had a Proustian moment without a cup of tea or a madeleine.  I was sitting on the toilet seat tying up the bag of litter when I was suddenly a small boy sitting on the sofa and learning how to tie my shoes from my mother.

I always loved The Pajama Game for the way it treated the score so faithfully, but, no it’s not a great movie. The script is so reduced it barely makes sense. Raitt looks deformed in his high waters pushed up too far on his waist. But the Steam Heat number is a beaut. And I like Once a Year Day.

Vibes and xylophones for BK, and for everyone else who needs them today. And I know it's a lot of people.

We'll all get through the things we're going through, but -- metaphorically in sync with the very annoying weather about to happen -- I feel like we've had a break of sorts since the holidays, and now the real winter (of our souls? :) ) has caught up with us.

I like The Pajama Game, but I like Damn Yankees more.

BINGO!

I've never gotten all the way through the DVD, probably due to a combination of the weak elements of the film, the crappy DVD, and very likely my own moods not being receptive to it whenever I did try to watch it.

I know I won't have that problem with the Blu-ray. But I SO HOPE we will be able to add Damn Yankees to our stashes before too long.

My uncle and aunt in Columbus received my December 6th card just over a week ago.  Stunning, isn't it?
