I did some laundry and finished up with PBS's series on The Black Church. Fascinating.

Need to find some videos of Rosetta Tharp, who sang gospel in nightclubs and played a mean electric guitar.

I suppose if I'm going to take a drive it should be soon.

DR George, thanks for the link, but that production with those dancers prancing about looks terrible.  I've seen Peleas and Melisande twice in my life, and I'm convinced it's more fun to listen to Debussy's score than to watch it.

That doesn't surprise me.  I like opera, but I don't "know" opera, so I don't really know what's supposed to be good or not. ::)

Seriously, have I seen a single film from this past year? I don't think so.

I know I haven't.

Tonight we're celebrating Nathan's birthday which is actually tomorrow. He's picked a new-ish Mexican restaurant delivery for the foodstuffs, a place I didn't even know about, and I'm greatly looking forward to that.

A Very Happy (but belated, by now) Birthday to Nathan!!

Walgreens/Duane Reade has turned me down for the virus vaccine because I said yes to their question if I had cancer, diabetes, sickle cell anemia, etc.

WTF??  Why would that matter??

Which reminds me of the time we were doing Pippin - and during the Catherine sequence, I told Pippin and the two boys to go off stage left, get their hoes, and come back across the stage.

One night in rehearsal they each came back with a random girl and walked across the stage.....

:o

The mailman just drove up. It's nice to know I have mail delivery again.

I got a mail delivery for one of my prescriptions, so I'm happy about that!

I didn't know this.  Now I can't stop thinking about it :(

It is a horror story.

I haven't come across it, yet.  My mom, sister, niece and sister's boyfriend all heard about it from news sources, but I haven't...not that it matters.  I don't think that I'd want to read any details.

Costco did not raise the price of gasoline, so I was able to fill up for $1.84 a gallon. That was nice.

They did not have any eggs and the sign up front said no water. But I discovered that that was just bottled still water. They had plenty of San Pellegrino on sale as well as other types of mineral and sparkling water. So, I grabbed a cased of San Pellegrino.

I love San Pellegrino.

I was in a play where San Pellegrino was mentioned in the script and the actor had a lot of fun with a bit in that moment.  I can't really describe what happened in that moment, but I just remember that it was pretty funny. :)

George, THE PROM does count, because it was released as a film.  HAMILTON would not count, because it was just a taped version of a Broadway production.

Tonight I watched Roundabout’s production of HOLIDAY INN. I really enjoyed the show and the cast was delightful.  Plus, how do you argue with Irving Berlin?
