Voldemort is basically a middle school girl: he has a locket, a diary, a tiara, a ring, and is completely obsessed with a teenage boy.

Had a sandwich for food - California turkey reuben, which is basically the Trousdale sandwich I love - grilled rye, turkey, coleslaw, and thousand island dressing. Unfortunately, it's not a sandwich that travels well and the bread was completely soggy - it was good, but much better when the bread is dry.

Otherwise, I just did a few things, none of them included writing two sets of liner notes, which I will do tomorrow. Speaking of tomorrow, David Wechter and I are doing some interview thing about The Faculty.

Good news from Druxy!

Do you still have to boil your water?

I talked to my cousin in Houston. She has electricity and water, but they have to boil the water.  She's not a particularly flexible person and had her complaints, but overall is doing OK.

My rescheduled dental appointment is tomorrow. Snow and ice is predicted for tonight and in the morning.  HOWEVER since my appointment is at 3:20 p.m. and temps are predicted to be in the high 30's - I should be all right.

Vibes for a smooth and uneventful dental appointment.

The ending of Drood was surprisingly emotional for a show that wraps everything in the artifice of the music hall. It ends with a resurrected Drood singing The Writing on the Wall with its lyrics, "Try to live forever/And give up never." It was filmed outdoors in a sunny, park-like setting, and as Drood was belting out the song, the actress was joined behind her by the chorus for real, all in costume and in black masks and maintaining their social distance. It was a very affecting moment. What a bloody marvel we survive.

I really love that score.  Wish I could've seen that production.

Keith has a cousins that moved near there and built homes. Because of  hurricanes they added generators which they are grateful for.  They have had a mix of just frozen or burst pipes but no real damage.

I don't know if there water is back on.

Hello one and all.....brand new Broadway Radio Show is now up on this here site.  This week it's Putting It Together: Finian's Rainbow.  We'll hear the classic score by Yip Harburg & Burton Lane using 4 different cast recordings, plus some fun bonus tracks at the end from a wacky studio cast recording.  Enjoy!

http://www.haineshisway.com/the-broadway-radio-show-2/

Listening to that, and I want to hear the whole thing but I have to stop and resume later.

Can anyone tell me what makes a persimmon queer?

Usually, an off-color experience in an airport men’s room.

I do that ALL THE TIME with things in general, usually things I think of that I'd google if the google were right in front of me.

It's maddening.

I am glad to read that those things happen to someone else beside me.  I thought it might be early Alzheimer’s disease.

Well, Drood is better staged than most zoom musicals, but the sound is still the problem. They could use that BK attention to details. And the actors in the outdoor scenes have bad red eye, though that works well with the villainous Jasper.

The only time the sound isn’t the problem for DROOD is when it is muted.
