Went for a long walk to the library. Felt good to be able to do that. I may go for another walk later.

I am glad you were able to get out for the long walk.

Well - I have found a new rabbit hole.

I put in a phrase such as "husband Killer" or "teen slayer" and add a few years such as "1925-1948" into Newspapers.com and then start reading news accounts of various trials.....from beginning to end.....most interesting....

The reporting in the main articles and sidebars can be best described as "breathless."

I have a question for you Finian's Rainbow addicts out there. For years, there had been plans to do an animated film version with the voices of Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald among others. The score was supposedly recorded. Has any of it ever been released?

A Google search answered my own question. It was released as part of a 6-CD set, Sinatra in Hollywood, that now sells for $260 on Amazon. Go figure. I'd rather have a Kritzerland release. Hint. Hint.

Sunday evening greetings!  Yesterday I took an all-day online crafty class and was wiped out when it was over.  This morning I attended Zoom church with Richard and have spent the afternoon making vegetable beef soup.  Soon we’ll have that for dinner with the baguette we picked up at Panera.

Well, Drood is better staged than most zoom musicals, but the sound is still the problem. They could use that BK attention to details. And the actors in the outdoor scenes have bad red eye, though that works well with the villainous Jasper.

I have a 4-CD box set from "Reprise Musical Repertory Theater":  Guys & Dolls, Finian's Rainbow, Kiss Me Kate, and South Pacific. Some pretty odd casting.

Donald includes three selections from that at the end of the show.

Rosemary Clooney is quite wonderful.

The ending of Drood was surprisingly emotional for a show that wraps everything in the artifice of the music hall. It ends with a resurrected Drood singing The Writing on the Wall with its lyrics, "Try to live forever/And give up never." It was filmed outdoors in a sunny, park-like setting, and as Drood was belting out the song, the actress was joined behind her by the chorus for real, all in costume and in black masks and maintaining their social distance. It was a very affecting moment. What a bloody marvel we survive.

Well, today I'm going to my sister's to swap out the other two light fixtures that I didn't swap out earlier this past week

I sure hope you have the right-sized nipples this time!         8)

Yup!  I bought two 2-packs, so I would have enough. :) The two that I put up today went pretty easily, so I won't have to do this again until she gets the one larger light fixture for her office, but she won't get that for a while, yet.

I went onto YouTube and fell down the rabbit hole.  I found complete recordings of several operas with Roberta Peters amd started downloading.

Last night, lying in bed before falling asleep, I thought of 2 distinct things that I absolutely HAD to search on YouTube. And now, in the light of day, I can't think of either of them.

I hate it when that happens! :P
