First First Nudie trivia question: In the film, the studio where the film is being shot is called Schechter Studios.  What was the real name of the studo AT THAT TIME (it is now called something else).

Good Afternoon!

The local, production of Seussical that I saw this morning - 10:15AM curtain(?!?!?) - was wonderful.  They really pulled out all the stops in regards to the set, costumes and lighting.  The pit was great.  And, best of all, and most importantly the cast was great!  It was comprised of a bunch of the "Richmond All-Stars" as well as some wonderful new faces and voices.

I ended up with a seat in the front row.  Center.  It was a student matinee so the rest of the theatre was full, but they were able to squeeze me in.  It was nice being that close to the action and the actors.  Lots of friends on that stage.

And, yes, I cried.  A few times.  Yes, the book is a mess in places, but the score has some wonderful moments.  *And as someone pointed out to me afterwards, it's strangely absent of an extended solo ballad for one character, any character.  But I found myself tearing up a few times during the show - as well as a few times after the show...

...It's all begun to sink in.  I'm leaving Richmond.  My home (on and off) for the past 19 years(!) will no longer be my home.  But in my heart...

-At least it's a "good sad".

-I've never got into THIS IS SPINAL TAP, but the ones I have gotten into would include:

BARBARELLA  - We seemed to watch this one weekly when I was working in Amish Country.  ???
EATING RAOUL - And how I still want to do the musical version some day!  I need me some "Hot Monkey Love".
THE PRINCESS BRIDE - Yes, I know this is not a true cult movie, but since it's shown as a Midnight Movie at the Byrd here in Richmond every few weeks...

Actually, I'll know better what's going on once the show opens in DC.  Apparently, the big switch-over will occur when the show starts their Canadian leg(s) this summer.  I'll keep you posted.
