Thanks to Parallax View, I checked All the President's Men out of the library. Starting to watch it. Haven't seen it in decades.

Did you ever see Executive Action?

Doesn't sound familiar. I guess I should, right?

Well, this morning I want the shipping company Chewy.com uses to go go bankrupt and fold.  I took the recyclables to the basement and then stopped on the first floor to pick up packages.  I had a couple of Amazon deliveries, and two Chewy.com carton, one containing kitty treats and the other containing a 13 lb bag of Meow Mix and a carton of Fancy Feast grilled tuna.  The sonofabitch who delivered them left them not where most packages are dropped off by the mailboxes but just inside the front door at the foot of five steps up to the lobby.

So I had to attempt to lug two cartons up five steps, maintain my balance, and forget about the painful hell on my legs.  The larger, heavier carton was open at one end and a second carton of Fancy Feast cans was missing.  I am not happy since this is about the fourth or fifth shipment in a row that has arrived looking as though it's been resealed and missing items.  Chewy/cp, has been great and speedy ion shipping replacements at no charge, but this is getting ridiculous.

I love Chewy.  I swear the last time I ordered from them, the delivery came before I even hit the SEND button.  Also, the boxes have always been packed securely, although I wish they didn't use sheets and sheets of brown paper to pad the inside of the box.

Oh My God.

We do have an immersion blender. Maybe not the best one, but who knows. Because guess what?
I just checked with the 'mates, and:

We'll have to look for it.

My horoscope says I’m going to receive plural marriage proposals today. So, wish me luck. Maybe I’ll even know the people.

Just don't agree to help any Nigerians obtain the $20 million held in escrow.

You’re telling me to be picky? At my age?

YOUR age??

Absolutely.

I haven't watched them all yet, but you'll find it mentioned in at least one of the extras on the Criterion disc.

I was looking for my immersion blender today.  It was nowhere to be found.

But that may be because I don't own one.

I took my mother's immersion blender, when she passed away.  She used it to stir those protein shakes, etc.  I am not sure that I packed it when I moved.

I shall do a bit of cooking in a moment.

I want to watch the IOWA basketball game at noon.  And then we have a ZOOM board meeting which I expect to be full of folks with opinions based on nothing.....I am going to try to be quiet....

Wow!  You are on the board of directors of ZOOM!

And they're apparently very opinionated.

Good Afternoon - I guess I'll look into chewy.com for the boys.  Usually, it's pretty simple, they both eat Purina Lamb and Rice kibble, no wet food, and dog treats from Trader Joes.  Maybe we'll change?   In other news, well - there isn't any other news.  My iCloud on this computer still refuses to function.  So, I'm troubleshooting again ... all day....

DR DRUXY have you seen an increase in productions of your One-Person plays or do you expect one as theaters begin to open?

The sales of my plays (in paperback, on Kindle and on audio) have skyrocketed since COVID, but productions have virtually disappeared.

I do have a production of ORSON WELLES set for next month in Arizona.  They've already paid the royalty, so I know they are going to do it.

America's Test Kitchen says that the immersion blender to buy is the Braun Multiquick 5 Hand Blender.  For what it's worth.

Which is apparently about $60.

Inaugurated one of the new bowls with a new soup, Spiced Bean and Sausage. It called for kidney beans, but I used aduki, which are smaller.

DR John G., have you ever used Rancho Gordo beans?  Their subscription service apparently has a several-year waiting list.

I like chunky soups, so I probably wouldn't use one anyway.

I just watched MA RAINEY'S BLACK BOTTOM and I liked it a lot.

Of course after all of those weeks doing the play, I kept hearing those lines said by my cast mates....but it's a good movie and should be at least nominated for several Academy Awards....it may have won some Golden Globes.....I didn't check.

The movie adds a coda that is a gag from "Dreamgirls" - but it works.....

Nope. Don't know them.

I've been looking for anasazi beans at a decent price. If I go to the Valley, I can get them for $1 a bag. On Amazon, they want something like $17 for the same bag.
