It's hard to describe the evening. The event was sold out. Tables were socially distanced, but there were more than 100 people there. It was outdoors on a large patio area, some up against the building, the rest under a tin roof. The wind was strong throughout. But the cast braved the elements and sounded great. But BK has me spoiled. Too many of the singers forgot the lyrics. In a Cole Porter show. That's just not right. But the woman who sang Ev'ry Time We Say Goodbye was heartbreakingly good. And the man who got the titans sang Night and Day, Begin the Beguine and So in Love with the right feeling for each.
Still, the show was a bargain in the good it did. For $25, each of us got a cocktail, an appetizer and the show. $15 of that went to the theater. I also dropped $20 for their mystery liquor buy. I ended up with a $37 bottle of mint tequila. I'm not sure what I will do with that, except an adult mint chocolate chip milk shake. So, if you have ideas, let me know. I think they made some money off it all.
