Last night I was feeling so poorly that I was in bed by 8:30.  I've inherited some of my mother's hypochondria, so I was convinced I was dying. I thought it might be a real case of Covid-19, a result of a botched biopsy, or encroaching death. Well, the alarm rang at 5:45, and I slept in until 6:30.

I think DR TCB was right about food poisoning. In my grocery delivery last week I ordered 2 packs of sausages, but when I finished unpacking things with the cats, I found only one pack, which I put in the freezer and let the cats play in the large shopping nags that the groceries came in. Five hours later, when I folded up the bags for the basement, I found the other pack, which I should have tossed. Instead I put it in the freezer, folded the bags and took them to the basement. Yesterday moprning I had three of the sausages with my eggs for breakfast.

So, that's what I think caused yesterday's problems. This morning I feel quite good, and my unemployment has kicked in.  I should be paid tomorrow.

Today is an Oh, Boy! day to make up for yesterday. It's a chilly rainy day so I am very happy that I do not need to step out. I do need to make an appointment for my barber this week.

Was that for real???

Something out of a church ladies' recipe book? One of those with a huge towering jello mold salad pictured in bad color reproduction on the front?

DR Elmore, was that sausage raw and uncooked, or the kind that's cooked but you cook it again to heat it up (like, say, Brown 'N Serve)?

If the former, it's a time bomb for sure. But it's probably important for the latter, too, to never be refrozen after thawing.

I don't know if I ever actually suffered from making that mistake, but I know I used to make the mistake. In recent years I've been convinced to just be safe and not sorry.

That recipe, Singdaw, is one for the ages. To be eaten only if you want to feel worse than Elmore.

It was pre-cooked, but I'm convinced it was the problem.

A question for you Mac people. I should know this by now. How do you print just the text or section of the page that you've highlighted on a web page or email?

In Windows I'd highlight the paragraph or whatever I wanted, pull up the print dialogue box, choose "print selection only" or whatever the terminology was, and hit Print. I can't find how to do this in the Apple print function.

Since I am not a MAC person I will not attempt to answer DR CHAS SMITH's question.

DR ELMORE I think you are probably correct about the cause of your distress.

Now that I have read that recipe posted by DR singdaw, I don't think I have to eat anything for breakfast.

Birdy Barnum is busy throwing his cranberries out of his cup into the wastebasket.

I have also added some pumpkin seeds just the make it interesting for him.  Those usually end up on the floor of his cage.
