Jane, your trip is sounding very relaxing. I hope you are enjoying it as much as we are enjoying reading about it.

I'm not going to get dinner until late tonight. Well, late for the intermittent fasting. I just put it in the oven and it takes an hour to cook.

I meant to start earlier, but I went shopping instead. Bought a plumbago and some more pots.

For dinner, it's mushroom and leek pot pie. The original recipe called for chicken, but I wasn't in the mood. Plus, I had plenty of mushrooms I had to use.

Now, it's time for Sorcerer.

The scenes in Sorcerer of the trucks crossing a dilapidated bridge in a rain storm remains of the most tense, thrilling scenes I can remember.

Thank you though I would call it relaxing. City life is a bit stressful for us.

They are just out of the oven. They smell great and look spectacular. Now to wait until they're cool enough to be eaten.

Time to start The Wages of Fear. I haven't seen this movie in years either. And while it's based on the same novel as Sorcerer, the two are so very different while sharing some basic plot similarities.

Time to start The Wages of Fear.

For a second there I thought that was a threat

Today is my niece's 37th birthday(!), and we're all going to my mom's to celebrate.  Her other grandmother and her aunt and uncle have been invited, too, but I don't know if they're all going to come over.  It'll be fun. :)

Well, the other grandmother, aunt and uncle did come over to my mom's to celebrate and we all had a good time.  My mom made schnitzel (German breaded pork chops) and some tofu schnitzel (for my sister and niece).

Another friend of my mom's (a former co-worker that we've all known for years) also came over for the party.  We all just ate and chatted and had Costco cheesecake with pie fillings for toppings and a good time was had by all. :)

Back from a long three-hour commentary session - I think it went well and we covered a lot of stuff - it wasn't really organized as a discussion because I had no notes with me, but I wanted it to be spontaneous and free-wheeling, which I think it is. Doing the Outside the Box commentaries was really hard - to fit everything in in five or six minutes was daunting but we kind of did. Marshall and Hartley were great.

We finished just before six and then we moseyed on back to the Valley and went to Stanley's and dined indoors with a few others. I had my chicken Caesar and Marshall had a burger. Then I finally came home.

I was greeted with about fifty e-mails so I got through those, I think we're very close to finalizing the Blu-ray cover wrap, and then Doug will lay out the booklet and that will be that. I'm hoping that can go directly to their printers so that once they have their master ready they can replicate and not have to wait on the print.

"Gin and Titonic" ice cube trays!  The set includes four ocean liner molds and four iceberg molds!
Gin and Titonic Ice Tray - Atlas Stationers

I wonder if Tom would want this, or is it sacrilege? ::)
