I shall now be on my way to the Oaks of Sherman to mix.  Keep the home fries burning until my returning, you dear, dear people out there in the dark.

That FSF, he is a rascal... Congratulations on completing your semester.  What are your plans for the summer?

Summer school. Yay!! But that doesn't start until July, so until then I am going to sit on my tuchus and do absolutely nothing.  8)

RON!! Did you just villify Rob, flowers, bunnies and whatntots?

 ;D

I'm not having a very Zip-a-dee-doo-dah day.  The A/C on our floor is out, it was warm yesterday and going to be warmer today, and now the fans are out that were at least giving us "fresh air" (you'll pardon the affrontery) from "outside" our building.

That and a horrible night of allergy malaise...I'm headachey and stuffed up and generally cannot stand myself.

(I know, I know...).

DR Jennifer:  There is logic to your arguments about TAR.

I believe that if the winning team wasn't good enough to win, they would not have won.  They finished well ahead of Rob and Amber, who were so pleased with themselves for getting the only two seats on that standby earlier flight.

They also wasted lots of time looking for the cigar shop.

I appreciate that Rob & Amber finished hours ahead of folks in previous tasks, but TAR isn't judged like the Tour de France where your time is carried over from event to event.  They'd have been unbeatable had that been done.  They'd have to have dropped dead to lose it.  And it sure seemed like all the other teams were happy with the outcome!

The way it's set up, "It's not where you start (or milestones you set along the way), it's where you FINISH!"

(thank you, thank you....a "SeeSaw" reference fer shur)!

DR Jennifer, I do understand you reasons for rooting for Rob and Amber to win. I think different people will have different reasons for who they root for.

Rob is a good player...I don't think Amber is so good, however. So I think Rob would have deserved to win, but not Amber...I do think Uchenna and Joyce played very good and fair (not dirty).

I do tend to go for the emotion and/or the underdogs. But it is fun to see who others root for and there reasons!

I have no doubt that Rob and Amber would be fun people to have as friends, however.

Two Eskimos sitting in a kayak were chilly, so they lit a fire in the craft.

Unsurprisingly it sank, proving once again that you can't have your kayak and heat it too

For the unaware, the stars of "Son of Fury" were Tyrone Power and Gene Tierney.  The film was produced in black and white (darn-it) and has a rousing swashbuckling score that will soon be released upon soundtrack afficionadoes worldwise.

From what I gather, the art I posted was for the cover of the booklet insert.

It's funny that you use the word emotion, because some people (like me) were emotionally attached to romber even before the race.

I liked rob from his survivor and survivor all-stars.  Amber i wasn't as crazy about, but I liked them as a couple.  So i was cheering for them before TAR7 even started.

I had no idea how they would play the game. I knew they were competitive.  But I really did not know if they would be good at all.

So even if they were awful, I would have been cheering them on.  It's sort of interesting that they ended up being so good.

And DR MBarnum, I know I can always count on you to cheer for the likeable/underdog team.  That's what is so great about you.  You want the nice guys to win.

One question.  They made Ron and Kelly pretty unlikeable (even though i'm sure they are nice people).  I wonder if anybody was cheering for them (they were a pretty good team).

DR RonP, hope you feel better.

I have started my exercise regime this week.  I wish I had a metabolism that would let me eat as much as I want.  But sadly that is not the case.  And I really feel it!  So I am starting to do Windsor Pilates every day.  And biking.

Although that said, I am excited because my family is going for Japanese/Chinese tonight.  It is my aunt's birthday and Japanese is her favorite.  Sadly we found out yesterday the restaurant we were going to has closed down (she just tried to make the reservation yesterday).  Me I always make my reservation much earlier. :)

Anyhow since I knew we were going for Japanese, I had gotten so happy about eating Tempura (it's veggies in batter). So good!  Well this new restaurant has it. So yum.  Plus they make some great chinese dishes.  So I will be eating well tonight.

DR RLP - what a great CD cover!  You know of course that appearing in a supporting role in SOF was Miss Frances Farmer.  It was directed by John Cromwell and also featured Kay Johnson - the parents of James Cromwell of BABE fame.
