In 2016 DR Keven mentioned watching the mini series "You, Me and the Apocalypse" and called it amusing.  Last night we watched the first episode and enjoyed it very much.  I hope it continues to keep us entertained.

I think it will...until you get to the end of the first season (a.k.a. end of the series) when it was unceremoniously cancelled. :P

But up until then, I certainly enjoyed it, too. :)

And now, I'm off.  My sister got a new desk chair and needs help to adjust it again, so I'll head over there before I go home.

Until later.

We watched DESTRY with Audie Murphy this evening, a remake of the old Jimmy Stewart classic.

Not a bad movie.  It was produced by my late publicity client, Stanley Rubin.

I had forgotten that version. I don't know if I've ever seen it.

Pulled pork was very good. I'm doing one more week of this nonsense and if I don't see more results than I've seen after these past three weeks of being VERY good, then I'm done and I'll go back to calorie-counting.

Is this a special kind of keto pulled pork, BK? Most of the pulled pork I've had is slathered in a sweet sauce.

Oh, I thought it was intended as only 1 season  :(

In the how did I miss this department, Sony has release a 120 CD set of Eugene Ormandy - The Columbia Legacy. These are only his mono recordings through 1957. One can only hope that they do the stereo years, too, because so many of those need remastering, but this is incredible and, of course, finally, at long last, includes Ormandy doing The Moldau, the first classical music I ever heard - his performance - and the first classical album I ever purchased (well, my parents purchased it because I wouldn't shut up about it). This has never been on CD (the bulk of this set has never been on CD) and you can't even find it online anywhere. But this will also include much great American music and a couple of Sibelius symphonies that are brilliantly performed, all remastered. Some people got it the week it came out, April 7th and must have got all the copies because Amazon won't have it back until May 5.

It was all very good, but I shouldn't have eaten it all at one sitting.

I don't normally get the fries, but they have a stamp card and you get a stamp with every visit.

My B-I-L ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs.  The chicken fried steak was as big as Dorothy Gale’s house in Kansas, and smothered in gravy.  However, it was really burnt.

When you get 10 stamps, you get a free upgrade to the meal, which includes fries and a drink, so you only have to pay for the burger.

And on Double-Stamp Tuesdays, you get two stamps instead of one for your visit. :)
