Power is still out. Going on 12 hours minus the half-hour respite. Can’t work. Will have to throw everything in fridges out. See what I can salvage from the freezers.

Oh, god, DR JohnG! How terrible.

Sending vibes!

Oy and Vey. On top of the inconveniences and comfort issues, having to throw out many pounds of good food is disheartening. Been there, done it.

I watched about two minutes of the President's speech last night, but couldn't get beyond that.

I'm sure it was fine and by comparison - wonderful - but I could not get enthusiastic about it.  And as usual in these things - the partisan applause was just too much.

Of course at least we didn't have Hillary Clinton who made childish faces and moved around like she was sitting on an ant hill during one of the speeches of GWB.....

For some reason Birdy Barnum is sleepy today.....could be because it is cloudy and no sun is to be seen.  But he has been napping since he was uncovered.....

I lasted 30 minutes, agreed with what I heard, and went to bed.

We got power back for 10 minutes. It’s gone again.

Sorry. I know too well how frustrating that is.  I hope you didn't have flooding in your area.

More frustrating is being out of town when the power goes out and the house/pet sitter leaves all the food in the frig instead of trashing it  :P

Managed to get through the night with no allergy pill, but am still on the verge of a bad attack. If I find a CVS that's not crowded, I'll try to pick up some Claritin-D when I go pick up lunch.

I am back from finally getting my new glasses adjusted. Instead of little hard plastic nose guards I have slightly larger, much more comfortable silicone ones.

I also had one side adjusted to relieve the pressure on the back of my ear.

Ah. Glenn Close's favorite!

Karen's track on "Lost in Boston 2," The Only Game in Town, is one of my favorite tracks.

That's the title of my next memoir:  A Sherpa with a Sharpie.

The compelling tale of an organizer with OCD.
