Finished with my viewing and listening to music whilst eating a chicken salad sandwich.

Watching a noir called The Suspect. Richard Siodmak directs Charles Laughton as a man who may or may have not have killed his wife.  Fun stuff.

Siodmak was a terrific director.

And after that (or I'll leave the game early, if I need to), my friend Margo and I are going to the movies.  We're going to see Free Guy, starring Ryan Reynolds.  We'll probably go out to eat after the movie.

I hope it is good.

Well, Margo and I didn't go to the movie tonight.

She called me just as I was about to leave for the movie theater, asking if we could reschedule on either Monday or Tuesday or some other day.

[George]

She didn't say why, but I think that her dog watcher fell through, and she's not yet comfortable leaving her dog (the 65 pound blond lab puppy) alone in the house.

[George]

So, I stayed at my sister's and we played a second game of Scrabble.

[George]

I totally lost the first game, but came in a very close second for the second game.

[George]

After the game, I left and went shopping and got some diet Pepsi that was on sale at Fred Meyer.

First master is almost done and sounds great.

Siodmak was a terrific director.

He was, and he managed to make a good movie of an iffy script.

[John G.]

Watching Here Today, which Billy Crystal stars in and directed. He plays a comedy writer who has dimentia.

It's fair good, a little maudlin.

[George]

I've got a replacement pianist - Lloyd Cooper - he's done quite a few of our shows and knows what's what. And I think he's thrilled to be coming back into the fold, so I do believe I will be done with Richard after this. I can never trust him again, that's the real point. He was slated to musical direct LA Now and Then next year AND Applause - I will now replace him on both, use others for however many Kritzerland shows we do, and others for the new series thing we'll be starting next year.

That's great for Lloyd, but it's too bad that it had to come to this.

My neighbor bought a plane and parked it on the street.

He also has two gutted trailers, a classic car, a few cars and a big pickup parked. His treasures line this end of the block.

Well the unvaccinated man who claimed to have COVID now says he is fine and his doctor says he can come back.....but he doesn't want to take a test so that we know he is negative....

SO the director is now playing Mr Kirby.  He was already playing Mr Henderson since that actor's mother broke her wrist and dropped out....

ANYWAY we don't open until a week from Tuesday - so I don't even want to know what else will happen.  I DON'T WANT TO KNOW. **

But Yikes!!  To be in the next Theater Artists Olympia show, everyone had to prove that they were vaccinated!

And I think not just have a negative test, actually BE vaccinated.
