Next Monday we are going to have temperatures in the low 30's - and I needed to get an ice scraper for the Smarty.  I looked on Wednesday at WalMart, but I didn't see any.

I came home and looked them up and found out that they were in aisle N30.....

Today I planned to go to Ollie's, Goodwill, and then WalMart.....

On the way I realized that the only reason I was going to Ollie's - a 15% off an entire purchase coupon - had been left at home....so that is postponed until Monday.

I found a nice Greek bust and a CLUE game for the display case next summer at Goodwill.

I found my ice scraper at WalMart - so my trip was successful!

The Greek bust is NOT for the display case - it now sits on top of my piano.

I could have once about 50 years ago, but I'm willing to try.

Popular songs written in the year of my birth (aside from the songs listed in the shows from the year of my birth): Autumn Leaves, But Beautiful, Buttons and Bows, For Every Man There's a Woman, Haunted Heart, Here I'll Stay, I Wish I Didn't Love You So, It Only Happens When I Dance With You, It Was Written in the Stars, It's Magic, It's a Most Unusual Day, Nature Boy, Slow Boat to China, Papa Won't You Dance With Me, Sixteen Tons, Steppin' Out With My Baby, and many others.

Feel free to do these for your own birth year.

Nice shower head George.  I like that it has the extra spray handle.  I miss the one we had in Ashland.

Have fun.

Mr. Brooks sounds like it has enough plot points for several movies, at least.

For MR BK here is LA's Broadway & Main in 1947.  Not sure this photo has been posted here, but you may have seen it.

Friday evening greetings!  I’d warned the person in charge that I might not make it to work at the holiday bazaar today if I had a booster reaction.  What I didn’t expect was being trapped in our house all day by the street repair crew that poured concrete and spent the rest of the day smoothing it over.  Hope they found someone else to take money at the bazar…

Well folks, this was truly a -- well, I guess we'll call it a ME day -- spent almost wholly on the couch watching just what I said I would watch, nothing more and nothing less, breaking only to eat and check in online a couple of times. I had half planned on bringing something to eat from the outside world, but I've decided to stay in and scrounge through the fridge.

The weather was ridiculous this morning and early afternoon, with yet another deluge, though thankfully, it had been a couple of weeks since the last one. A fine, fine day to stay in.
