I did have Moderna vs Pfizer.

DR George, I had the two Moderna shots and the Pfizer booster. I had mno bad reaction at all.

Everywhere I looked, the Moderna was by appointment, and here at the local Safeway, the Pfizer was available as a walk-in, so I decided to get it over with. 

It makes sense to get what is available.

Now get that second Shingrix

I know, right??  When I got the first shot, I was told that there was a shortage of doses and that Kaiser would let me know when I could get the second dose, but I haven't heard anything from them!

I think it is about time to call them and let them go.  You really have gone too long between shots.

I wondered if there was a limit between how long one should wait before the next shot.  I'll ask about that, too.

Since the time between the Shingrix vaccinations is 2 to 6 months I suggest you not wait until your appointment but call and ask about it.  Also let them know they said they would get back to you and didn't.

Elf was an interesting musical. The first act is overwritten and too long by about 20 minutes. Could have been trimmed and maybe even a song lost. The second act was a paragon of libretto writing. The words rarely got in the way of the songs.

It was almost like two different shows.

But the cast was game. The choreographer seemed to have fun stealing from the best with obvious nods to Bob Fosse and Michael Bennett.

It was just 2.5 hours long, and 2 hours was more than enough with a kids show.

I followed with dinner at a Turkish restaurant where I had a stewed lamb shank wrapped in eggplant and bell pepper. It was delicious. I couldn't stop eating.

I'm now watching Elisabeth Moss as Shirley Jackson. It's a pretty unnerving portrayal, even if the movie is a little erratic.

When I think of Shirley Jackson I think of her wonderful, delightful memoir Life Among the Savages.  Years later when I read The Lottery I was shocked to learn it was the same author.
