I saw David Lynch's Dune only once, and I've always intended to return to it, but after reading the book. A few years ago I downloaded the book to Kindle, and someone gave me a nice unabridged audiobook. I decided that what I would do, due to the complex nature of the book, is to enjoy listening to the reading while following along on the page. I've never done that with a book, but I want to with this one to better absorb all the names and other aspects of the narrative. I have yet to put this plan into action, but I do intend to. In the meantime, the new movie has come out and I'm nowhere ready to watch it. Or hell, maybe I should, and just get what I can out of it.

Huge vibes for DR Elmore.

Has there been any progress on being able to restart physical therapy?

Yes, that was a great day and a wonderful visit with the two of you. Incredibly, that's still my only trip into the city since the fall of 2019. I miss the before times!

By the bye, I've never intended to read more than just the first book of Dune. I will be happy just mastering, somewhat, that main story. I don't need any more of an epic like that staring me in the face. Hell, I still have to get the rest of the way through Proust, and that's been on hold since...well, I don't even want to admit how long it's been, but I foolishly allowed myself to put it down "for a while" at the halfway point. And that's something I was loving.

Vibes for DR ELMORE.  What a lovely photograph of Annabelle - she should use that one for all autograph requests.

She says she wants it to be on the front of a ship.

The therapist I saw for years no longer accepts my health insurance, so I need to find a new one. Emblem Health sent me a list of therapists in my zipcode, so now that all the pre-radiation nonsense is finished, I will check them out and make an appointment.

We survived the snow and rain and wind last night.

Now it's just snowing.

How boring.

I have some shopping & banking to do.

Later this afternoon we have the appraiser coming for both houses....so we shall see.

The little house is really quite cute.....needs a GOOD cleaning.  But the renters did their best.  They have lived there nine years, so a cleaning & painting was in order anyway.

I am relieved they did their best and hadn't trashed it.

I have 2 packages of crafting supplies out for delivery today via USPS.  One is coming from Columbus, OH, by way of Louisville, KY.  The other is coming from Wisconsin by way of Charleston, WV (with a brief stop in Cincinnati before it went to WV).  Someone at the postal service needs a geography lesson.

I just checked the weather conditions and chain requirements to see if we could return to our original plan of spending the night in Ashland,  followed by an easy drive home the next day.
