Ushering for a chamber music group’s holiday concert. I hope the music provides some escape.

If there were Christmas cookies in this house, I'd eat an entire plate of 'em.

I like that because the holiday falls on a weekend, we get a nice long weekend out of it.  And the following New Year's weekend, as well.

We have a Shell station here in Johnston.  Not the only gas station, no.  We have five or six, but I have used Shell for years.  Thing is, I went there a week and half ago to fill up my car and they were OUT of Regular.  They said they were expecting a delivery any day.

I drove by this morning and now they are out of ALL gas.   Still open, of course, but none of the pumps are functional.  I called and they said they are STILL awaiting a delivery.

I filled up at a BP station.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is how the End begins.  Quietly.  In a typical small town in America, where one would least expect it.

Then everyone else should fall in line ....  We shall see.

Vibes it goes well from now on.

DR JANE if someone wants something on the appraisal list, they can pay the amount [everything is priced very low] - if it's not on the list South America Take It Away.

I imagine there will be plenty of stuff.  After the eight of us, there are only two more - and three girls who I doubt will even stop by....

I forgot they get to pay for the items on the list. If any of those items are left will you attempt to sell them?

We are back from our partially successful errands.  We went to Verizon first to see about a new phone for Richard.  A very goofy young man eventually told me, “That’s not the way the world works,” and I wanted to smack him.  We’ve decided, since we know we want an iPhone, we’ll go to the Apple Store, but not before Christmas.

What  :o “That’s not the way the world works,”-goofy indeed.

In a day of many ups and downs comes news that Mom has suffered another fall in her room. This one wasn’t as bad, but it’s still troubling.

:(  Very troubling.  From personal experience, having an injured shoulder/arm can through your balance off.

Thank you, all, for the vibes. I haven't had any new news since leaving for the theater.

Jane, Jeanne mentioned the restaurant - Louise's Trattoria in West LA, not so far from your house.

Back from the big shopping at Gelson's - I thought I'd remember everything I needed, but as soon as I began driving home I remembered I forgot to remember several things, so I'll go back on Wednesday evening and get those remaining items.
