I have one of the older kind. You get under the blanket and wait a couple of minutes till this attachment* comes up and plops down on it to give it the weight.

(*Sold separately.)

By the bye, this is a companion to the picture I couldn't upload the other day. That one still won't upload, but the one right next to it will. Go figure. That's how intermittent this stuff is.

I haven’t liked Katrina Lenk since I saw her on a New Year’s Eve special a couple of years ago. And I understand she can’t handle the vocal demands of Being Alive.

They hated that. Ann said it might work in a cabaret.

Just saw a recipe for air fryer meatloaf. Why? Do any of you fry your meatloaf?

The Golden Globes were last night. And they continued to embarrass themselves with a tweet like this: “If laughter is the best medicine, [West Side Story] is the cure for what ails you.”

Wtf?!

I'm up, I'm up - oy and vey - fell asleep right away at two, up at five-thirty to use the loo, back in bed and stuff for the book started coming to me left and right and I had to get up and write it down, otherwise I would have forgotten it. I did that for five minutes, then back to bed. Same thing again. Up and back to bed, and again, up and back to bed. I finally fell asleep again and got two more hours before the handyman arrived. He's here now.

I'm on the verge of getting sick and I have no time for it but if I don't sleep it will come. I may try for a nap after he's gone.

Meanwhile, I don't know how much futzing and finessing I can do while he's working. Very noisy at the moment.

Hopefully, that will stop when he's finished part one of the two things he's doing.

Sorry about the disruptions, bk.

Maybe you could relay your late-night thoughts into a recorder app on your phone. Then you wouldn't lose them and you also wouldn't have to get out of bed.

It’s sad when we have to start sleeping with machines.

A friend of mine just adopted rescue kittens this weekend, a bonded brother-sister pair. Meet Nivens and Nylund, in honor of Betty White:

I am home early: the machine went down so no treatment today. Then the Access-a-Ride was 20 minutes early.

Never heard of that. But if I had some, say, leftover meatloaf here right now, I'd have to fry it just to try it.
