It’s funny. There are all these stories about how dogs can tell the difference in languages. The bird convinced me he could tell that a long time ago. He really isn’t happy with foreign language films, at least those languages he doesn’t speak.

Just finished Richard Powers' Bewilderment, which is an Oprah Book. It's like a climate change version of Flowers for Algernon. And it's pretty good.

Took my first test an hour ago.

Twelve pages. I was three ahead from last night, so I've really done today's fifteen. I'll now finish watching a motion picture, and then I just might another three pages and get to the end of the chapter I'm on, and do the first few lines of the chapter that will follow. And with that, I'm two-thirds of the way through this book.
