Back from a lazy swim in the pool. The temperature is 76 and the water was 86. Felt good.

I haven't been interested in watching  Inventing Anna, now I really hope Keith doesn't want to see it.

I need to stop using the computer until my eyes return to normal.  Everything is blurred making me nauseated.

At least the new ophthalmologist told me my eyes look healthy even if they hurt all the time :)

Today was my first visit to Covenant Family Allergy of North Augusta SC.

I got up at 5:25 a.m.  I had coffee.  I dressed, and then i drove.

I arrived unscathed 20 minutes early and sat in my car and messed around on my phone until the door opened at 8 a.m.

Nice facility.  Nice people.

I had a breathing treatment that was REALLY relaxing.  I found myself breathing more deeply, and cleanly, than i can remember doing in quite some time.

I was asked questions, huffed and puffed into gizmos to test my lung capacity, etc.

The doctor told me my breathing is very impaired and set out prescribing a course of treatments to correct it and make my life much, much better.

While VA will cover everything, and fill the presccriptions, it will take a few weeks for the VA to get anything to me.  Therefore, I told them to notify Walmart of my needs and gave them my United Health Care account info to cover the costs.

Surprise, surprise.  This insurance company, which hasn't had a single charge from me in more than four years, but whom I have been paying monthly, REFUSED to cover the costs to any degree.

Walmart said they would send a fax to the doctor and have him verify that the medications are essential for my well-being, or something of that nature.

We shall see.  It will take another day or so.

Otherwise, United Health Care can kiss my tushy.

On my way home, i deviated my travels to take me into Edgefield to the Town Square.  I had a nice BBQ sandwich and potato salad there yesterday after my haircut.  At that time, the owner told me he had a chicken and andouille sausage gumbo special for today if I wanted to come back.

I decided I wanted this gumbo.  They also had a special sandwich:  A turkey and cheddar wrap.  I got that for my lunch and will have the gumbo for my supper.

The wrap was very delish.

Blame it on the early rise.

Or blame it on the bossa nova.

But...I took a 90-minute nap this afternoon and am feeling quite refreshed.

Is anyone out there a fan of the Sister Boniface mysteries that air on Amazon Prime?

I have watched two of them, and find I cannot be bothered.

She is extremely annoying.  But, maybe I am missing something.

Well, it was my turn to suffer the unsettled tummy through the night and this morning, and it's ENTIRELY my fault.

Following a really nice salad for dinner that was quite delicious and satisfying, later at home I binged on half a box of chocolate covered raspberry things. They'd turned out to be more delicious than I expected, and before I knew it, the damage was done.

No sickness or anything else untoward or unseemly, but what an awful feeling. Lesson learned? One hopes.

Lesson learned? :o Where's the fun in that?? ;)

I am glad that DR GEORGE got the chicken situation well in hand - we hadn't had an update and those two new inhabitants are due any day.

Actually, the new inhabitants aren't due until next month, so there's time...but other thing can be accomplished now.

It's a little shorter than the last time [evidently, they keep notes on the length of the previous cut(s)] and it looks a little better.

I want a relaxing breathing treatment.

I am glad you were pleased with your visit.  Not the best option, but even if the insurance won't cover the medications the VA should.

The morning ride was on time, but the driver was a lazy slob with an attitude of "who cares?" I've only had maybe three or four drivers like that but they make everything about the trip difficult and uncomfortable,

My return trip was scheduled for 1:26. When I got dressed and checked my phone in the lobby, there was a message from 12:47 saying my car was waiting for me. So I called AAR to confirm that, only their phone lines were screwed up. After 5 phone calls that went nowhere, I called the main AAR number, and was told the car would be on time at 1:26.

I noticed on Facebook that a friend I had made in Vicenza, Italy, was also friends with someone I had made friends with in Athens, Greece.  I messaged her and asked her how she knew my friend from Greece.  (The italy friend was in the Army, and the Greece friend had been in the Navy -- neither were co-located at the time).

Instead of a message reply, I got a message CALL!!!  My Italy friend was out walking her dogs somewhere in Virginia (I don't recall her city location) and decided to call me.  What fun!  I hadn't spoken to her since 1975, atlhough we have been FB friends for years.

She met my Greece friend after she and her husband settled in Virginia when he retired.  My Greece friend lives nearby and they got involved in a former military member support group.

Small world.

Around 1:35 or so, I gort a call from the driver, only I could not hear a damned word he said. After asking several times if he was outside, I told him I was coming outside and I would call him back. Only the dirty bastard turned off his phoneand I left three voice messages over the next fifteen minutes or so, the last being something like, Rot in hell, you asshole, and fuck you. I called AAR, and they told me he waited and then left since I was a no-show. I called AAR, explained the situation, spoke to two lovely ladies who put me on hold, and the phone went dead. By this point, my legs and back were killing me, and I had to decide if I wanted to continue leaning against a fender, bursting into tears, orthrowing myself under the next car that passed.
