Well, you've read the notes, the notes were notes that were, and now it is time for you to post until the cows that were come home.

Topic of the Day:  I'm watching The Late Show with Stephen Colbert right now.  Margaret Brennan is pretty interesting, and quite knowledgeable.

I am most concerned about my financial state. I'm not getting work, and I am running out of money. I applied for something the musicians union Local 802 called "No Musician Left Behind," and in January I get a check from them. There was no formation, no explanation for hopw the program worked, and I have no idea if there will be another check this month, I've sent emails and made phopneccalls to 802 and had no response.

I only know that at the moment, unless something good happens, I am screwed for good.

DR Laura, I wish you could drive me to and from radiation. The visits would certainly cheer me up.

DR Jeanne, I hope that I have reached the nadir of Access-a-Ride errors yesterday. I'd love the last three sessions to go off well.

I have one of those supremely annoying skin splits on the tip of my right index finger. It was hell playing piano yesterday, and it's even more sensitve right now, typing this post with a healing cream and band-aid on it. It's a good thing I have three days before the next rehearsal.

I get one of these every now and then, mostly in winter, and they're HELL for musicians. A bass playing friend gets them, and I can't even imagine that. This is the first for me that's in such an unnegotiable location as that all-important fingertip.

Yesterday was plenty of other HELL, of course, what with packing and loading everything, getting it into the car, then unloading and setting up at the venue. But they are SO supportive and professional at that college that in the end it's always a pleasure.

White cotton gloves and Vaseline. Before bedtime soak your hands in a lot of Vaseline or Aquaphore, put on white cotton gloves and sleep on it. Works great.
