Yes, it's still the Beverlywood Bakery. I don't think of that area as Beverlywood, though. I think of Bruce's old neighborhood as Beverlywood.

It isn't all that surprising. The baby was pretty sick while the others having been vaccinated have been pretty much ok.

Just checked, Jane. It's a pack of 5 tests; a completely different brand from the last time. The expiration date is listed as Dec 2022.

We've had some problems with the deliveries in MN because apparently if they're left in the cold for very long, it makes them less effective to non-functional. And you don't know how long they've been on a postal truck.

Hairspray was fun, and it was a little different. Edna wasn't the only drag queen in the show. One of the Dynamite singers was also male. And I think there were a couple of girls as guys. That gave the production a lively feel.

There was a cast of more than 40 in the show, which was also really good. The director had a talk-back afterward. Said they worked seven weeks of evenings on staging it, with choreography work throughout.

The most interesting performance to me was the presentation of Velma Von Tussle. The actress in all her bigotry seemed to be channeling Marjorie Taylor Greene, which made her stupidity all the funnier.

In the talk-back, the woman who played her said, in her day job, she's a neurosurgeon who operates on people with Parkinson's. Guess being Miss Baltimore Crabs is a bit of stress relief.

There were about 100 people in a theater that seats about 150. Many of the patrons were in the theater group's youth program, and a generous patron had bought all of their tickets. So, I'm wondering about the appeal of Hairspray these days.

The show is also going to be part of the Broadway series that comes to town, along with Hadestown and Tootsie, which the ushers I know didn't care for.
