Well, this is certainly going to be a weekend!  This Sunday will be my niece's 38th birthday!  For her birthday presents, she wanted to know if I could take her to Tacoma to a glass blowing place so that she could get some new glass pumpkins (which she collects), and also go to a vegan cupcake place and get some cupcakes.  I said sure, so I'm taking off half the day from work and we'll take her car to Tacoma (since my new car hasn't arrived yet ) and then I'll go to work for half a day.  But then after work tonight...

Please share photos of the glass pumpkins.

We're back in town.  I didn't think to take any pictures of the pumpkins today, but I can on Sunday.  And it turns out that it wasn't a vegan cupcake place...it's just a cupcake place.

But they did sell vegan cupcakes-yes?

Actually, I was looking through their website:

And I didn't notice anything specifying that they had vegan options.  Sorry to get your hopes up, Jane.

BRIAN is BACK!

Yes, my cleaning guy, Brian, is here after TWO YEARS! He's scrubbing away at all the spots I've missed. There won't be time today to do it all, but he's putting a big dent in it. I've been trying to throw out more and will continue to do so. Then we'll be able to reach even more dust.

As he cleans, I did some laundry and cleaned out a bunch of email. It certainly piles up.

But this is sad, because Indiana University is by all accounts a great school. I was even hearing about the quality of their music department back when I was in school, and I still do.

Our drummer was feeling ill on Wednesday - tested negative. Feeling ill on Thursday - tested negative - feeling better today - tested positive. So, there's a sub coming in tonight and tomorrow - but can't do Sunday - looking for someone to do that - then our guy will be back. His son, who usually subs for him, lives with him. He's tested negative but...

Groan, vibes you find a replacement.

LOL I don't care.  I just figured most places have vegan options these days and figured you could get something for your niece.

I decided Best Buy has the nicest staff and we should go there to get my phone, and they guarantee they will set it up vs depending on how busy they are.

We arrived just their opening time of 11:00 and didn't get out of there until 1:30.

After getting the phone I wanted a bit of time was spent setting it up and transferring my backed up info from iCloud to the new phone.

Then came the moment of truth, would the phone stream into my hearing aids.  Keith used his phone to call me and....

For an hour one attempt after another failed.  Just as we had about given up our wonderful salesman did a software update on the phone.
