I have had many such dreams in which my car, wallet, or phone have been whisked away. It’s undeniable how unsettling it all is, and what an incredible relief it is to awaken from those. I should add that the sudden dream disappearance of each of those items, individually, is based in reality...whether just the fear that it’s really happened or, in the case of my phone in 2013, the reality of having accidentally thrown it into a city trash can along with my takeout lunch plate and napkin and soda can.

DR George, are you up incredibly early this morning, or still up from last night?
I'm up, I'm up - barely - maybe six hours of sleep.
This all reminds me of a question I have:Stage Door is re-releasing the Broadway cast recording of Carnival loaded with a bunch of extras. The cast recording itself will be a copy of a stereo reel-to-reel tape, which, given no other details, I’m assuming to be a standard quarter-track 7-1/2 ips commercial release. I wondered why that’s even necessary, but it looks like the standard CD of the original cast is out of print. I have the CD on the Polydor label, and — the nice extras notwithstanding — I’m wondering if Stage Door’s tape copy is presumed to be an improvement over the Polydor. (It looks like it’s also turned up on a couple of other labels over the years.)
