Am home for the day...no needed trips.

The painter and porch man are here, hopefully helping one another. The painter has subbed out the shutters to the porch man (paint-wise). And the painter will assist the porch man in putting up the screens.

I think that's how it will work.

Whatever!! I was told the work should be finished not later than this Saturday.

Another, worse for me, film is "Heaven's Gate". Some of you may love it. Even the roller skating sequence left me numb and a bit dumbstruck. Blech!

I watched Heaven’s Gate when a snowstorm left me housebound for a weekend. Even though I had nothing else to do, I still want that time back.

Poor Mitch Leigh, one score wonder! I've heard he was a rotten, rather hated individual. I like some of Cry For Us All, and I would not mind hearing Home Sweet Homer.

Last night's dream was confusion.

I was sort of still in the military. I was in possession of orders to a command I really wanted. Then, someone presented me a second set of orders to a different command that really wanted me (for whatever reason) to go there. I was torn. I had to decide, I had a plane ticket to the first command and needed to decide whether to exchange that ticket for a ticket to the other command.

Meanwhile (apparently), I had a briefing to give and I was pushing a cart load of training materials down a sidewalk toward a complex of office buildings. When I got there, none of them were what I was expecting them to be. I thought I'd need to refer to my notes, which were in the cart, but I suddenly did not have the cart.

I woke up perplexed and wondering why I, a civilian, needed any of it.
