So, a soundtrack is coming out for the TV movie The Ratings Game, score by David Spear BUT - as those who've seen it know, it's about a fictional TV network - and I wrote all the TV themes. When I saw the post about it, I responded, since I'm responsible for a good deal of the music in the film I do hope I'm being credited where necessary. So, the producer/label called me just now - they told me they had me credited on three pieces. I said that was interesting since I wrote about fourteen pieces. He sent me the tray card and indeed everything I wrote is being used, most being credited to David. I just sent them exactly which tracks are mine (they combine some of my stuff into one track). I'm told they'll fix it and I told them that I would prefer my credit not be in teeny-tiny type and buried somewhere, since I'm a major part of the score. I also suggested they send me the tracks, because I'm pretty sure the composer used some of my stuff within his score - I know he did in the end credits. So, may as well have all this correct and then we'll have to see if he's actually paying the mechanical royalty - they can't put out my stuff without at least asking me about that.
