Just got off the phone with the world's foremost "Babes In Toyland" expert, one Larry Moore. Made plans for some DVD viewing in the days to come.

Sadly, no. A 4:00 gathering in Portland is a bit difficult to make it to when you have a matinee in Tacoma that runs until 4:30.

Glad that you are able to get Baker Street Larry. I, too, have it on LP but have not yet transferred it to CD. I do have both Miss LuPone's Baker's Wife and the London Baker's Wife on CD and I have had a Baker's Dozen of bagels but not for quite a while.

I remember that a few years ago, former actor, now director, Joe Mantello was quite angry that a production of Love, Valour, Compassion was staged, as he saw it, exactly the way he (Mantello) staged it on Broadway. He complained about but I don't remember the outcome. He said the staging was all his and could not be copied or transferred to another production without his knowledge (or words to that effect).

The theater claimed that they were only following the script that was supplied to them. It seemed that the script had Montello's concepts and stagings. They were not credited to him. The director and the theater thought it was the playwright's.

Actually, he's a lovely guy. I suspect he was still burning over the situation. The truth is, the producer sells the stage manager's script to the play leasing company. If the directions were in the script, Joe's fight should be with the producers and Dramatists Play Service.

Good evening! The Father's Day dinner went quite well and both grandmas are now safely home, each with some pumpkin pie "to go." Now, first-day-of-school blueberry muffins are in the oven, because DH Richard and DS Rob start summer school tomorrow at The University of Cincinnati. This blueberry muffin tradition started when Rob was in kindergarten.

We received two pieces of news about our nephew Christopher (son of Richard's younger brother), an Air Force helicopter pilot. The good news is that he's engaged to marry a lovely young woman named Chrissie; the not-so-good news is that he leaves Thursday for a two-month tour of duty in Iraq.

Quick Portland update: BK has arrived. We have not yet configured him for internet at his hotel, but hopefully will by this evening. (We got stuck in the elevator on the way out and did our own little moment from Sweet Charity. BK was Oscar. I made a very fetching Charity Hope Valentine).

MB and George are here and we are supping and having a beautiful afternoon. BK has had his first Boca Burger and lived to tell the tale.

I'm pleased and surprised our email connection has lasted so long. Keith disconnected my wireless laptop which may be the reason. Now I won't have as much computer time. I will be leaving now and let the Keith play his game, after all it is Father's Day.

We were out purchasing the game when Craig called and missed talking to him. He said he will call again during the week. I think he is done with his teaching job and will be wrapping up his two years in the Peace Corp at the end of the month.

We have had the most glorious day here in the Bay Area of California. The sun has shone beautifully, white clouds have billowed and sailed past and the air has been blissfully coolish.
