Jane, I watched two episodes of FOUR SEASONS, based on some of Rosamunde Pilcher's works. I haven't read the source material, but I found the miniseries to be rather mediocre. Too bad. Sometimes her work really shines. It could also be the fault of the adaptation.

How many miles did you put on your car during those 24 years?

Well...the odometer broke about 6 years ago at 177,525 miles and I never got it fixed. I knew that I was never going to sell it, so I didn't worry about it.  At one point (before then), I figured that I drove about 6,000 miles a year, so it's probably got another 30,000 or so miles.

That is rather amazing.  May you have many happy years with your new Subaru.

Just finished Home Fire by Kamila Shamsie. Surprisingly effective.

Last night's first rehearsal went well.

Tonight we do our first blocking/choreography - the opening number.

There is a cast member that I needed for TWO days to block his songs with the cast.  And last night he told the AD that he had a conflict on ONE of the days.....which messes up the entire rehearsal schedule.....so one of his days was moved to the TBA day we have....

And there's a big fat woman who suddenly has six MORE conflicts.  If she wasn't a friend and darling of the vocal director - she would be out on her ample backside.

Tell Miss Piggy you will double her paycheck if she will come up with another six conflicts on performance dates!

Speaking of Kelly, she just got back from moving her daughter to Halifax.  I told her all about the Titanic cemetery, she had no idea.  So, she toured the cemetery, and today I just got two Titanic books that she bought me in Halifax.

I had hoped to get you something in Southampton, except we cancelled our cruise from there due to covid restrictions.

Damn!  I had always wished that I would have made it to Southampton.

But on a happier note (F-natural), today is my mom's 80th birthday!  We're actually going to celebrate on Saturday, so tonight, I'm ushering for a performance of a local college jazz band.
