I'm home. I actually got home about 25 minutes or so ago, but I'm here now. Last night's show went pretty well. I thought it was a little sedate...both in the energy of the actors and the reactions of the audience...but just a little. The audience loved it and everything else otherwise went really well.

After the show, we had another cast party and the house we went to (again, we went there after Friday's show) is only a few blocks from the mall where the theater is, so it didn't take long to get there. More food and drink, and a good time was had by all. Now, I'm off to bed so that I can get up in time to shower and get dressed for today's matinee. Then, we'll only have four performances left!

After today's matinee, a bunch of us are going to see another local theater's outside performance of Shakespeare. I forget which specific show it is.

Then tomorrow, it's back to work.

The alarm rang at 5:45, I got out of bed, fed the cats and went back to bed. I awoke at 7:30 to find Annabelle sleeping next to me. I dressed, did kitty cleanup, and I'm sitting here listening to some mass by Schubert, drinking my coffee, and feeling quite disoriented.

Last night, I baked a DiGiorno frozen pizza for dinner after I had cleaned up the cats' dinner dishes. I hads about half of the pizza and piut the other half into the fridge, read more of my mystery till my eyes stopped working, and went to bed around 8:30.

I don't know if you remember, but I had posted several years ago about a friend, John Mekeel, who was sentenced for killing his father. I've wondered for several years now how he was. Last night I dreamed about him.

I have to say, I can't blame him for the killing. His father was an overbearing mucho macho man and bully. John was on a downward spiral; his marriage was over, he had a child to support, his wife was a banker, as I recall, and he was delivering pizzas and living with his father and grandmother. At one point he asked if he could move in with me, and I turned him down. I didn't hear from him after that. I learend about trhe murder by googling his name. I hope he's well.

We had a wonderful conversation about his career (mainly here in Southern California) and the excitement of his first Broadway show along side Jason Robert Brown, Amanda Green and, of course, the hysterical Billy Crystal.

Everything east of the lighthouse is only accessible by boat
