I woke up at 5 am and couldn't go back to sleep. I know that DR Laura, with the cool face, white hair, and raccoons in her backyard, would be heading out for a hike at that hour, but I just don't like getting up before dawn. It's uncivilized.

I've been busy all day with things at home and still have not finished today's to-do list. Sigh. But some things were taken care of.

It took me 3 weeks to muster up the courage to schedule an appointment with the ophthalmologist. I hope things are not as bad as I fear. At least I have a better doctor this year and Covid isn't a big concern. Getting care last year was insane.

Speaking of John G, I've been watching RECIPES FOR LOVE AND MURDER on Acorn TV. It's food-centric, quirky, and takes place in a small town in South Africa. The food photography is luscious. An interesting take on a detective series.
