I am reading the Andrew Lloyd Webber memoir UNMASKED.
It is very entertaining and he has a very funny way with words.

He only writes as far as the PHANTOM opening in NYC - because he says the story is "enough of a door stopper" as it is.....

I writes of his mother giving him a violin when he was four and he played it for a couple of years, then she gave him a French horn.

He writes that must have been a better blower than he was a scratcher because she let him keep the horn longer.
