Today is the birthday of Richard Palmer, my best friend through junior and high school and husband of our DR Ginny. Nine years ago today we had a mini HHW reunion to celebrate Richard's birthday at the late great Artie's.

Great picture!

Today, I'll be ushering for the Washington Center Reopening Celebration!  They remodeled the interior over the last several months and it looks great!  After that, I'll go to my mom's, then come home. :)

Have a good day, all!

Sunday morning greetings!

DR Ginny, I'm with DR TCB: what is a vegetable and apple pie? Do I want the recipe for my book Dishes for Your Disposal?

DRs TCB and Elmore, yesterday I made vegetable SOUP and apple pie.  Sorry to gross you out.

It might have been something like pumpkin, but, yeah, the combination didn’t sound great.

That was such fun!!

Indeed it was!  Richard and I had New York trips 3 Novembers in a row, all around this time.

I googled it. No apple vegetable pie recipes came up.

Maybe as a savory pie with potatoes, parsnips and onions.

We received NO additional s**w last night so that was good.

And none is predicted for the next couple of days - and that is also good.

And here is an Indiana geography lesson:

North Vernon is south, South Bend is north, and French Lick is nothing like it sounds.

DR Ginny, was one of your November visits in 2012 by any chance? Because now I'm wondering if I might indeed have met you in person prior to Artie's in 2013.

I remember that evening with great pleasure. If I'm not mistaken, it was my first time meeting DR Ginny and DH Richard in person, and I think DR vixmom as well. I had previously met Ben and Jose. I also brought some pumpkin thing for DR Elmore from Stew Leonard's -- was it their cookies? And finally, that evening was my first time at Artie's, a comfortable and delicious place, the loss of which still burns my ASS.

Yes! Pumpkin cookies!

DR ChasSmith, our November trips were in 2013, 2014, and 2015.
