I have loved this song since this version of it came out in 1968 on a 45, subsequently released on an LP two years later. For me, this is a textbook example of how an arrangement/orchestration can completely make a good song great, and Mr. Prysock, a wonderful and these days completely unsung singer, gives it a most perfect vocal. You cannot imagine how powerful this was back when it came out, the precursor, really, to Mama, Look Sharp. I've been addicted to it since the day I heard it and ran out and bought the 45 and then the LP when it came out. It is nauseating that it has never made it to CD. The arrangement/orchestration is by the brilliant Claus Ogerman. You can thank me later
