Thanks, Singdaw!

In the meantime, what are you doing?  A tarp and some duct tape?

Fortunately, no.  It's parked in my garage and I'm driving my sister's car.  She works from home, so she doesn't need it very much.

Tonight, I'm actually going to go shopping with her, since even when I'm not borrowing her car, she doesn't really like to go shopping by herself. ::)

I hope that when I go to bed tonight, I will be surprised by sleep.

So, Amazon Fresh is same day delivery?

No, it's usually a day or two later, in my experience.

Lost another friend today. Bev had been ill with cancer for some time. She went peacefully, I’m told.

Speaking of vomiting, haven't we been on page six quite long enough.

It figures, it warmed up a bit in Milwaukee and cooled down here.  We just keep missing the good weather.

Vibes for your brother-in-law, Ginny. I hope he is out of surgery and doing well.

Thank you, DR Laura.  His surgery was completed earlier this afternoon, apparently successfully.

Excellent.  Vibes for a speedy recovery.

When I was talking to the insurance agent on Friday, she had called the dealer about getting me an appointment, and I got the impression from her that one wouldn't be available until the end of December !  I'm glad that I was wrong.

That would have been shocking.

I have loved this song since this version of it came out in 1968 on a 45, subsequently released on an LP two years later. For me, this is a textbook example of how an arrangement/orchestration can completely make a good song great, and Mr. Prysock, a wonderful and these days completely unsung singer, gives it a most perfect vocal. You cannot imagine how powerful this was back when it came out, the precursor, really, to Mama, Look Sharp. I've been addicted to it since the day I heard it and ran out and bought the 45 and then the LP when it came out. It is nauseating that it has never made it to CD. The arrangement/orchestration is by the brilliant Claus Ogerman. You can thank me later :) https://youtu.be/E6-ZedP3PwE The song is, of course, from Mata Hari.
