Craig also has covid this week.  He said it is nothing compared to his reactions to the vaccinations.

Since it is clear out, we are going to the gym so I don't need to walk in this cold climate.

Someone sent me a $25.00 Amazon gift card. It was delivered sometime yesterday, and I can find no information on who was the sender.

The heating contractor just left. My brand new, spiffy (well, not really) wall heater conked out again last night. I am SOOOO glad I bought that little space heater! It seems the new thermostat, barely 2 WEEKS old, was the culprit. I wanted a digital one, anyway, and now I have one.

Yesterday was a very bad day. I seldom get angry but I was there yesterday. Stupid Cedars! Their scheduling software is truly hostile. There is no need for this! And the 20-something young man I spoke to on the phone was typically rude. Then I called UnitedHealthCare. Their new crop of customer service people are inexperienced. They're trying, but they just don't have sufficient training. After 4 phone calls and 1.5 hours of my time over the past couple of weeks I finally have the answer to my (simple) question. Then the heater wouldn't come on.

If anyone has any suggestions for dealing with or letting go of this sort of crap please pass it on. I try to be patient, particularly if someone is trying, but the level of competence just keeps sinking lower.

Thursday afternoon greetings!  The Christmas cocooning has begun.  Richard spent the afternoon at the package wrapping table and I baked shortbread cut-outs that we will decorate Saturday morning while listening to Lessons and Carols from Cambridge.

DR JEANNE I am so sorry - I am hoping things improve, customer service wise everywhere - but I am not optimistic.

I enjoyed spending about half an hour with grandniece Audrey.

Her dog started barking when I came in - and that made her cry....and she was unhappy a bit during the visit - but mostly she was smiling and talking and watching everything around her.

I am very happy to have met her.

The snow started about 20 minutes ago....the temperature is 34 degrees.

So far it is too wet for the snow to be sticking to yards, sidewalks, and streets - but I expect that will change within the hour.

On TV Perry Mason is still the gold standard for me.....I still watch it from time to time in the morning or late at night....and I have a few episodes that I always watch...

Other tv lawyers I liked were Judd for the Defense - Carl Betz and The Defenders with Robert Reed and E.G. Marshall.

It really makes me crazy when tv or movie lawyers get up on cross examination and start asking questions that have nothing to do with the direct examination.....
