Well, you've read the notes, you've experienced their irony, and now it is time for you to post until the ironic cows come home.

For Maltby & Shire "I Want It All". I enjoy the scores of both "Big" and "Baby".
"Autumn" is my favourite Maltby & Shire song.

Coleman & Leigh - great score for "Little Me" which is so much fun. Wildcat's "Hey Look Me Over" is great too.

I shouldn't believe any of the poppycock you are reading about Sunset Blvd.  It's akin to the whole Travolta/Banderas three year malarky on Phantom.  They forget to mention two important things that would enable this to be reality - a director and a screenwriter.

At least Hugh Jackman can sing and has played the role. I can only hope - wise casting for a change.

Hello DRs Elmore and Ben.

Taking a short break from "House Of Flying Daggers" Some exquisite scenes but I just don't get the culture. but then I don't get the idiocy of Batman either.

No wonder I'm lost with the Martix - or is that in the Matrix?

Good morning, all!  I was up too late watching a very funny film MAMBO ITALIANO because the lender wanted it back today.  Now I'm trying to get my mental facilities organized for the trip to the East Side and Tams-Witmark.  So far the coffee isn't working.

DRJMK, I haven't spoken to my friend Max Preeo since late 2001 or 2002, and we've lost touch, I'm sorry to say.  If you have a link to the site you  mention, I'd love to have it.

TOD:
Maltby & Shire:  I Hear Bells
I Think I May Want to Remember Today
                         Crossword Puzzle
                         Travel
                         Life Story

   Coleman & Leigh:  Tall  Hope

Happy Birthday DR CILLALIZ!!!!!!!!

DR Elmore, I also watched MAMBO ITALIANO this past week.  And while I found parts of it very funny, there were parts that didn't make that much sense to me (don't read further if you don't want a a minor spoiler).

The whole thing about Nico and Pino, made me not understand if he was bisexual, hiding from being gay, or what.  But the ending was very hilarious!

DR MBarnum: MANSION OF THE GHOST CAT is one of the popular scary stories in Japan for movie/play, same as YOTSUYA KAIDAN. It depicts woman’s deeply deep grudge and fatality, right?  We, Japanese, like to watch that kind movies in summer, according to custom.  I feel scary and pathetic whenever I watch them, as these are pitiful stories, but sometime I oddly feel like to watch. Woman’s grudge is horrible. ;D :P

DR Hisaka, I think you should write a song about this.  It sounds very poetic.

Happiest of birthdays, DR Cillaliz!

TOD - Maltby & Shire, "One Step" - a very talented pianist once entrusted me to turn pages while he accompanied some friends of mine and DR elmore's in this number.  It was such fun when we all joined in to say, "You don't have to sing, you don't have to dance, but nothin'll happen 'til you take a chance!"  I also like "I Hear Bells" and "Watching the Big Parade Go By."

Hi Hisaka,

Yes, it is a very spooky movie. I had not seen it until recently, and very much enjoyed it. I have purchased some of director Nobuo Nakagawa's other films from that era (1950s/60s) including JIGOKU and GHOST OF KASANE SWAMP...I am hoping they are equally spooky!
