The food was great. I had a crab beignet, a salad with heirloom tomatoes and fresh dill, and a French dip with housemade chips.

I got to listen to a chunk of my latest audiobook, Salka Valka. It’s an Icelandic novel from Iceland by Halldor Laxness. Great stuff, but 19 hours long. I’m only a third of the way into it.

I’m now chilling out to an album of jazz artists performing Bernstein. A lot from West Side Story and On the Town. Bobby Scott, Billy Eckstine, Carmen MacRae, Sarah Vaughan and many more.
