Was that production of Drood the one where Sharon had the lead role?

Speaking of which, Sharon told me that she thought you were currently living in North Carolina!
Will ask her for information.

That scares me because someone in North Carolina is/was pretending to be me. An address even showed up on my credit reports. Hope that's just a weird coincidence that she thought that. I was living in Delaware.

Oddly enough, Drood with Sharon is the first show I ever saw at St. Jean's back in 1996 or so. This St. Bart's Drood happened a few years later.

Hello friends, new and old.
My identity has been stolen. I got a bill for $9k from a collection agency for an apartment somebody rented using my info. In North Carolina, a place I have not lived. So now I'm jumping through all the hoops, when here I was, minding my own business. One of the credit reporting agencies has already responded to my dispute that it IS my debt, because the collection agency says so! So now I await a police report I filed, and I have to offer proof I did not live in North Carolina. So dealing with this is like my part time job now.

 >:( >:( >:(

I am so sorry.  Vibes you can get this sorted out and other charges won't popped up.  What is involved in proving you didn't live there?  I know you can prove where you actually lived.  Is that enough?

They ask for a bill from the time this apartment was rented, which was in 2021. So have to find one, with the problem being my wife's name is on the majority of our bills, and we since moved west! But we have an insurance bill with my name on it from the Delaware house. I don't know what else. If it comes to it, an affidavit from my wife that indeed I did not move to, visit, or fund anyone else living in North Carolina at any point.

I think the only artist to celebrate President's Day in song was the Bay City Rollers

Thanks for the Rupert Holmes interview, DR John G.

I believe he has blurbed BK's books in the past.

Another great Rupert story: A community theatre (St. Bart's) in Manhattan was doing Drood a few years back and my friends in the show said on the second weekend Rupert showed up, then he rented a hotel lounge out and paid for a catered party there for the whole cast and crew.

Nice story.

The problem is with the credit companies - they just assume you're lying and that is completely and utterly WRONG. They know all about identity theft, they deal with it every day, and so the assumption should always be that the person reporting it is the VICTIM and not the perp. I'd sue the mofos. They can just as easily go after whoever did this - they have an address, for heaven's sake and so can the cops.

The Christmas episode of All Creatures was excellent. And bonus points for a hilarious Scrabble play involving the word scrotch.

Maybe we should ditch President's Day and make Election Day a holiday instead.
