The original Broadway cast recording was released in 1966, so there was nothing before then. This is the 1968 original (and only) London cast recording.

Also, a couple of days ago, I received from eBay a CD of the demo recordings to a musical version of Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile by Janet Gari (Eddie Cantor's daughter) and Toby Garson. Brian Gari (Janet's son) mentioned in the Cast Album Collectors group on FB that it's available, so I got one. I'm listening to it now and it's quite delightful. I also added it to CastAlbums.org:
