I slept rather well. Annabelle has abandoned me, but Stella and Thatch are taking advantage of this new development, and each time I wake, there's a new feline cuddled next to me.

I watched a good TV movie on youtube last night. It stuck with me since I was a kid. "The Last of the Good Guys" starring Dennis Dugan, Larry Hagman, Robert Culp, Jonathan Harris, and Academy Award Nominee 2023, James Hong. The casts you get with these things truly are amazing. Directed by Theodore "The President's Analyst" Flicker.

Dennis Dugan is a young hippie cop partnered with veteran Larry Hagman. Hagman is dying (then dies) like two weeks before his pension will kick in. Dugan and his buddies have to find all kind of clever ways to fool hardass Sargeant Culp into thinking Hagman is still alive for two weeks, so his wife can collect his pension. Culp is a force of nature in this film.

And they apparently thought up that plot before Lucky Stiff.

Sing, Sing, Sing is in my top five Fosse dances. But this is almost a how not to do it. The stage is too small. They’re so scrunched up that they lack any individuality. One dancer looks like he skips. Only Benny Goodman survives.

My DH was Benny's personal live-in assistant for the last years of his life. There are some great stories!

I like the idea of a YouTube screening of Episode 1 of Sami.

Ditto!
