But yesterday I made a potato soup that came out really well.

I had a ham bone with a goodly amount of meat still left

I trimmed off the meatiest bits but left some on

Then I made a stock from the bone

Then I strained that out, discarded the bone and remnants and shredded the meat and set that aside.

Then I peeled and sliced some golden potatoes and cooked them in the stock until they were nearly mush
